Description

This leatherworker (bootmaker’s knife) was hand-forged from a split compound twist billet of   1095 steel and upcycled sawmill blades (15N20 steel).  The entire knife is one piece of pattern-welded steel.    The blade is roughly 1/8″ thick, with a 1 1/2″ long edge, and an overall length of 8 1/4″.   It weights 4.5 oz and will ship in a padded, zippered pouch.

This blade is forged from high carbon steels (not stainless) so wiping down/dry after use is standard maintenance and applying a protective coating is recommended (I prefer green Flitz or food-grade mineral oil.)  Do not leave wet.
